Lets be honest, everyones favourite part of elections is seeing dogs at polling stations.

The results are an important part of the process (obviously) but what we really want to see is politics-conscious pups casting their vote.

Brits are taking their four-legged friends to vote in the European Parliament elections at polling stations across the UK today.

A total of 73 MEPs will be elected in nine constituencies in England, with one each in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The stations are open for votes until 10pm, so expect to see plenty more adorable pictures under the usual trending hashtag #dogsatpollingstations.

Lets take a look at some of the cutest voters Twitter has to offer.
