A salt of the earth dad has died suddenly after going through a bout of tonsillitis.

Mark Bramley, 34, had just come back from Amsterdam with partner Charley Miller, 26, where he was so ill with a sore throat that he had so stay in bed for most of the trip.

Days later, his wife found him collapsed on the kitchen floor in the early hours of March 15, and tried to revive him with CPR but couldnt save him.

Mark, known to many as Bram, was taken to hospital but his life support was switched off a day later.

It was very sudden, partner Charley told the Nottingham Post. We have not got a cause of death yet but we think what has happened is his throat has swelled that much it has stopped the oxygen and he could not breathe.

Men are very stubborn and dont want to go to the doctors. It just goes to show that any little thing should be looked into.

He probably thought it would get better. He was taking paracetamol, but he did not expect to die.
