Unai Emery says he is watching Reiss Nelson closely after the attackers superb start to life on loan at Hoffenheim.
Nelson has grabbed five goals in six Bundesliga appearances and is continuing to thrive in Germany.
The 18-year-old is getting more game time at Hoffenheim with every passing week and Arsenal fans have been surprised by how well Nelson has taken to his new surroundings.
Emery revealed Arsenal follow Nelson in every game, but refused to comment on whether he would recall the youngster to the Emirates early.
At the moment we dont speak about that, said Emery when asked if a recall was on the cards in January. With Reiss, we are very happy with him at the moment.
We follow him every match. We are thinking how he can help us in the future.
He added: He can take responsibility, minutes and confidence in a team where he can play more. Then the objective is to come back with us and grow with this experience.
My experience in Spain and France is that with this loan the player can take this.
Nelson has already said he would like to return to London sooner rather than later, but is prepared to spend a full season at Hoffenheim.
Im just here to play my football in Germany, he said.
Hopefully Ill come back in a couple of months – if its a year so be it – ready to play in Arsenals first team.
