Gremio star Everton Soares has refused to rule out a move to Manchester United amid rumours that Jose Mourinho is lining up a £30million bid for his services.

The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising young forwards in Brazil and has caught the attention with a string of impressive performances this season, scoring 17 goals in 43 appearances for Gremio.

Everton was rewarded with a call-up to the Brazil national team back in August and the attacker made his senior debut in September, playing against both the United States and El Salvador.

Im going through an exceptional phase, and we know how hard it is when clubs from England look at Brazilian players, for their quality.

Lets see what happens at the end of the season, wait until it is over, and see whats best both for me and Gremio.

Everton signed a new deal with Gremio until December 2022 earlier this year and the Brazilian outfit will be determined to keep hold of him this winter.

Jordan Pickford is also being linked with United as the club eye potential replacements for David De Gea.

United legend Gary Neville, though, admits he has doubts about the Everton and England goalkeeper.

I thought he was a risk before the World Cup. It was one of the points I was most nervous about, he told Sky Sports.

I actually think international football suits him a lot in the sense of the way the team play.

I think the fact you get more time to play out a the back than you normally would in the Premier League.

I think hes suited to international football. I was nervous about him before the World Cup but hes winning me over slowly.

Hes not my idea of what a goalkeeper should be. I always though a keeper should be dominant, he added.

There are so many keepers now of his ilk and his stature and his ability in terms of agility that you have to change with the times.

I was always of the Peter Schmeichel, the big presence. He [Pickford] doesnt look huge in goal but is agile and does make great saves.
