Arsene Wenger has been directly contacted by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez about the managerial role at the Santiago Bernabeu, according to reports in France.

The 69-year-old has not been short of offers since leaving Arsenal at the end of last season and has admitted that he will accept a new job within the next few months.

I believe that [Ill] start again on Jan. 1, he told Bild last month.

I dont know yet [where Im headed]. I am rested, and I am ready to work again.

On Monday evening, France Football claimed that AC Milan are in advanced talks with Wenger and want him to replace Gennaro Gattuso.

But according to Paris United, Wenger has attracted strong interest from Madrid and has spoken to Perez about potentially replacing Julen Lopetegui, who was sacked last week.

The report also claims that Paris Saint-Germain have intensified their effort to land Wenger as their new general manager, although the Frenchmans arrival hinges on whether their sporting director Antero Henrique will leave.

Wenger is also said to have received offers from the United States national side and FIFA.
